PORTFOLIO

Throughout the three years studying Fashion Business and Promotion, I have gained many skills from the different modules, which I will carry froward into my buying career. This page shows some of the work I have completed over the last three years.

Buying

Developed a range for River Island Swimwear department for S/S16m using trend research from WGSN. Conducted a competitive shop in the initial research stage of the module and then went onto create a range book using adobe indesign and illustrator. Critical paths were also created within this module.

International Retailing

Created a report proposing for River Island to open stores in China. For this module a vast amount of research was carried out into the market, drivers and competitors to name a just a few sections of the report.

Digital Marketing, Branding and PR

Developed a concept for Quay Australia to open pop-up stores around UK music festivals, in order to gain further brand awareness in the UK. I created a marketing report which explored the sunglasses brand Quay Australia as well as a marketing book with all the visual elements of the marketing strategy.

Final Major Project

CLEAR is a lifestyle store based in Birmingham, developed from dissertation research findings, targeted at New Millennial consumers. The marketing strategy was to open 4 pop-up stores in Birmingham to gain brand awareness before the actual store opening. For this module, a Business plan, brand bile and marketing book were completed as well as collaborating with an Architect to design the instore and develop CADs to visualise to the reader how the pop-up stores will look.

Dissertation

Research into the New Millennial consumer and what they appreciate within retail environments, and whether retailers are providing the in-store environment they desire. New Millennials prefer experiential and memorable retail environments where shopping is more than a transaction and the pleasure of in store is more than just the products available (Solomon, 2014).
